Catholic Life and Chaplaincy

Our Mission Statement 'Jesus at the Heart of All That We Do' is the essence of school. It underpins and is the golden thread in our curriculum design, is the foundation for policy decisions and essential to our whole school culture and ethos. As the children grow and mature they are encouraged to put their faith into practice in their own lives, through their daily words and actions with others and kindness and generosity to those less fortunate, both within our local community and further afield.

We provide many opportunities to enhance and develop the Catholic Life of the school including:

  • Prayer Days for the whole school
  • Year 6 Retreat
  • Catholic Social Teaching Retreat Days
  • Faith Ambassadors Retreats
  • Liturgies and Worship
  • Supporting Charities; both locally & internationally

Our Priest from our local parish is regularly invited to celebrate Mass and other liturgical events.  We attend First Friday Mass as a school. Our Parish Priest also supports during RE lessons by visiting classes to further enhance the children's knowledge and skills and to help them develop a deeper understanding of the Catholic faith.
